Job Description
General Description:
The Guaranteed Interview Specialist supports Guaranteed Interview Program or other recruiting programs related to Applied degree and Workforce programs and manages student communications. This is an entry level position.
Duties and Tasks:
Managing the process in Career Connection.
Communicating with employers to establish and set up schedules and provide implementation support.
Working with students, faculty, and staff to facilitate program promotion, student preparation and scheduling.
This position also has analytic and judgement functions related to the data collection and reporting.
This position will interact with internal and external constituents.
Being responsible for follow up and evaluation of outcomes.
Essential Function:
The Specialist will need to use NOVA’s online career services management system to schedule and manage the interviews.
*This position is restricted and is funded with non-continuous or non-recurring funding and is subject to continuation based on fiscal year funds and the needs of the College.
Special Assignments
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
KSA's/Required Qualifications
KSAs:
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Pivot. May use other software programs, databases, and applications as assigned
Discretion, confidentiality, good judgment, initiative, and attention to detail
Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and produce quality work from conception to completion on assigned projects
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED.
Some administrative office experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Some experience in a higher education setting and/or with experience in a career service office.
Some experience in event coordination.
Some experience using career management or contact management system, preferably Symplicity
