About the Position
OneEnergy Renewables is seeking a Development Grant Manager. The Grant Manager will work primarily with the Development team on identifying, analyzing, synthesizing, and recommending grant opportunities that align with OneEnergy's core competencies and competitive strengths. The scope of this role will include guided yet independent research, documentation, and leading OneEnergy's consideration of grant opportunities. This role is critical to help us navigate through exciting, unchartered territory during a period of high potential funding opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- At a programmatic level: identify, analyze, synthesize, and recommend grants, loans, rebates, policy incentives, and other financial assistance opportunities at a Federal, State, and local level.
- Work with local, regional, state and federal entities to pursue and obtain grants, incentives, and related funding opportunities applicable to our existing and planned pipeline of renewable energy and/or battery storage projects.
- Administratively track grant opportunities and submissions in a centralized database and maintain strong file management of related materials.
- Pursue and lead the development, coordination, and response for grants, incentives, and requests for proposals, while working with regional/segment teams to match appropriate portfolio or projects with available opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in the development of required proposal materials, including writing and submitting complete grant proposals on time.
- Make business recommendations that align with potential grant opportunities.
- Prepare and provide documentation to internal teams and key stakeholders.
- Manage schedule, monitor grant opportunity progress and address potential issues.
- Measure and report on project performance.
- Onboard funds and managing post-award reporting requirements.
- Document research findings, analysis, and recommendations in multiple platforms, including longform written narrative (i.e., Internal Memo), short-form presentation style (i.e., PowerPoint), and via inputs to internal system and tools platforms (i.e., database).
- Develop and build internal and external relationships, which will include conducting outreach via phone and email engaging with audiences such as: community stakeholders, governmental/regulatory agencies, utilities, customers and external consultants, and/or landowners to further research efforts and explore new opportunities.
- During grant off-cycle or as needed, support other internal and external project and development-related writing initiatives, including responses to utility request for proposals or project permitting materials.
Qualifications:
- 3-5+ years of experience in writing grants for submission to Federal and non-Federal sponsors.
- Demonstrated experience with large, collaborative grant applications.
- Experience in Microsoft Office/Office 365, Google Apps, Salesforce, and database management.
- Experience with project management is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Knowledge of or background in the renewable energy industry is preferred but not required.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both oral and written.
- Proven ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable deliverables to internal and external stakeholders.
- Self-motivated with proven ability to take ownership, initiative, and accountability.
- Demonstrated experience with large, collaborative grant applications
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of integrity and organizational capacity to manage multiple projects.
- Builds trust by demonstrating high ethical standards and personal integrity.
- Ability to continuously prioritize high-value tasks, opportunities, and processes to maintain project momentum.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and interface effectively with cross-functional employee groups and external stakeholders.

- Can require travel, up to 1 week per month or about 15-25% of working time.

OneEnergy's compensation packages are dependent on an array of factors including, but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, geographic location, and other organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the salary for this role is $80,000-$110,000. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of this range.
