Faculty Position in Gene Regulation at Penn State

The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Penn State, University Park, PA, USA, invites applications for a tenure-track assistant, associate, or full professor appointment in the broad area of gene regulation. The successful applicants will join the highly collaborative Penn State Center for Eukaryotic Gene Regulation and be part of the Huck Institutes of the Life Sciences.

Competitive applicants will have a Ph.D., a record of creative research accomplishments, an innovative future research plan, an ability to achieve teaching excellence at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, and a commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive community in the practice and teaching of science. The position features outstanding research space and competitive start-up packages.

Candidates for Assistant Professor must have demonstrated ability as a scholar and researcher in a field relevant to the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and gene regulation and have shown evidence of scholarly or professional achievement. Duties will involve a combination of teaching, research, and service, based on the candidate's qualifications.

Candidates for Associate Professor must have demonstrated excellence as a scholar and researcher in a field relevant to the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and gene regulation and have an established reputation in scholarly or professional achievement. Duties will involve a combination of teaching, research, and service, based on the candidate's qualifications.

Candidates for Professor must have demonstrated excellence as a scholar and researcher in a field relevant to the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and gene regulation and have evidence of a substantial record of advanced research as well as leadership in their field of specialization. Duties will involve a combination of teaching, research, and service, based on the candidate's qualifications.
