HVAC Technicians I, II & III (HIRING ALL LEVELS)

Prince William County Schools, the second largest school system in Virginia, is hiring a Commercial HVAC Technician. This is technical work in the installation, maintenance, and repair of a wide variety of commercial HVAC equipment throughout the School Division. Some analysis of the basic construction, modification or repair problems in building heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment systems will be expected. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Diagnosing, and repairing electrical and mechanical components of HVAC equipment to include: rooftop package units, split-systems, mini-split systems, chillers systems, hot water and chilled water piping systems.
  2. Computer applications for communications, material ordering, and work order processing,
  3. Using Energy Management Control System (EMCS) diagnostics.
  4. Reading and interpreting complex sequence of operations, diagrams, sketches, blueprints, specifications, and schematics.

Regular hours are Monday-Friday daytime schedule, and the position is full-time and in person.
